I think this is the best board for this... I didn't make the book itself. It was a sketchbook, so it is a sort of altered book, but the pages were blank... This is also a sort of personal swap, since what this project was all about was creating a journal, modifying a section of it and then passing it on to a series of friends who will all do the same. They are all invited to start their own travelling journals so we can all have one to keep. I express myself best visually, but others might choose to write. Anyway, here are some selected pages:

the book began life on Vancouver Island and headed east to Toronto next...
I drew, collaged, and did some printmaking:

and then I cut a recess and attached a book-within-a-book made of various handmade papers

and made an 'equisite corpse' book (a series of different figures are sliced horizontally so you can interchange their heads and limbs)

Thanks for having a look. Smiley Now, I am left in suspense, waiting to see what my friends will do...

Wow, that's so awesome, the 'equisite corpse' part is great.  I'd love to do a project like that!

I think you went for a trip artistically too!  You started out with a 2D drawing and then kept experimenting and getting more and more 3D complicated.  I love the drawings and the colors...so beautiful.
