The Banner / Logo critique thread!

I started the shop month or so ago with my twin sis. Generally, my sis makes the jewellery and I make the paper products. I'm also responsible for the administration of the shop, which includes designing the shop banner and logo.

The idea is cute but it comes across as fairly pixelated on my computer.

I've just made an etsy, and haven't put anything in there yet. i really want to have everything ready and up to par for when I start posting things.


I just made this one in Pages, and am downloading the photoshop elements trial to see if I like it (this coming from a graphics major who didn't graduate...i have forgotten nearly everything I learned!) and then I'm going to make it a little "cleaner", so that I can actually use it as a banner without having to take a screenshot of it 

I'm also looking for a way to make a little "logo" out of part of it to put on business cards. Any ideas?

I like it.  Its not too busy and its not too blah. I too, am in the process of setting up an etsy. Actually, Ive already got the account.  I just havent made it pretty with a banner and the avatar and logo needed to make it look "legit".

Melvinator I love your banner! It really draws my attention.

This are my prototype banners for my shop. Its going to be a variety of different items, mostly headbands with flowers and feathers, but also different kinds of stenciled items as well. The heart is one of my stencils that I just finished sketching out. All of the profits from whatever I sell are going to go to a charity (not sure which one yet), but that's kind of what I based my name off of. Well, that and the fact that what I sell will be more whimsical than anything else. If anyone has any suggestions for either the banner or my name, I'd be highly appreciative. And I'm not sure what to make my avatar as.
