I am still throughly amazed at the creativity of these pincushions. Partially because I see myself as creative in a different way. It is really hard for me to come up with ideas, but I like trying to take an idea realizing it. But I guess that is why I am a costume technician and not a costume designer. Swapping makes me stretch my creativity, but I still get intimidated by everyone else's creativeness.

But ANYWAY
TODAY IS SEND OUT DAY PM me when you send and check in if I haven't heard from you

I've never seen so many amazing pin cusions in my life!  I always thought the chicken my mom made for me was cool, but the pin cushions being created for this swap totally blow it away.  Thanks for the inspiration.

OMG!!!!!!!!!!
Qazicat- you have done it again, you really are supremely talented AND creative!!!
Major swap anxiety, I might be late cause I've decided I need to make a 2nd one to keep up with these standards!!!

Bobolink... don't! I only made you one because I wanted to send out early so you would receive it ASAP.

 Embarrassed

Oops I saw this too late! But no worries, I really wanted to add something else, cause I was really unsure of the successfullness of the first...

I have a temporary place for pictures (few as they are, a camera in on the list to get sometime this year... after car repairs)

http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/mikaiyawa/detail?.dir=/469dre2&.dnm=78a9re2.jpg&.src=ph

has the front and side views of the pincushion I sent my partner.  I also sent a beanie off the same pattern in a navy and white Escher dot print... but I didn't think to take it to the In laws.. so no picture of it.

That is a really lovely bird! I'd keep it as a toy, not a pin cushion.  Tongue

thank you.  Compared to some of the lovely work I've seen posted up here he seems pretty ordinary...

My parents cats have some that are smaller (2 inches long rather than the seven and a jiggle of this one) stuffed with catnip (and without "eyes")  I've made some that same size and stuffed them with lavender for my drawers.

Mieika--that is a lovely bird indeed! I, too, would not want to stick it with pins, ha ha.  Hey, no one said our pincushions had to be functional, right?

i was overcome with swap anxiety and jsut sent out today to charlie brown. i recieved hers the other day and it was awesome! she embroidered an old fashioned tatoo mermaid on it and little beads and it's just great! it's nice and bit too - which works out because i tend to drop pin cushions and the floor and they get lost in the mess till i step on them. Thank you so much again charlie brown and i hope you like yours then they get there!!!
