So I thought I'd start an Alan Dart thread, similar to the Jess Hutch, Jean Greenhowe, and World of Knitted Toys threads.

Here is "Cheese", the Alan Dart RSPCA Perfect Pets pattern in the latest (well, latest in Canada anyway) Simply Knitting magazine.

More pics and comments on my blog.

This dog was posted before, but I thought I'd include it here.  The pattern is Sirdar 2101.

Love your knitted animals!  I've been looking into finding Simply Knitting but it seems I can't get it unless I order it from the UK.  How do you get yours?  I live in the Florida Keys and there are no large bookstores/newstands here.  I think I've read that others have found it in Barnes & Nobles/Borders?  I guess I could check the mainland (Miami) if this is the case

Sometimes it's knit and sometimes it's crochet.

Sorry, I don't think I can help.  I'm in Canada, where they sell Simply Knitting at all the stores (I got my copy at Wal-mart).

Hi, which issue of Simply Knitting is this pattern in?  I just purchased the June Issue 16 from England and it's not in there.

TIA
Donna
