This is the post of a soon to be reformed lurker. My friend Rachel is always saying "That shirt/skirt/random thingiemabob you made is soooo cool! Why don't you post on that crafty site your always raving about?" Yes, raving. I am constantly raving about you lovely ladies(and gentleman) and all the awesome things you make. Honestly, I never thought anything I've made was that great but the artist is always their own worst critic I guess. So anywho, I am finally vowing to step out of the lurker shadow and present PICTURES. The following pics are from me and Rachels "ROCKSTAR ADVENTURE" last fall. We were at the Smithsonians Sculpture Garden. I'm surprised we didn't get kicked out.
So anywho we both wore homemade clothes for the occasion. Rachel rocked her neon orange trenchcoat that she made from an outdoor furniture cover
(she's so cool!!!), and I wore the skirt/shirt/shrug set I made out of some pink stretchy material, this starry night pajama fabric, and a turqouise turtleneck that I never wore because it had a mysterious stain on it. Any way, without further ado, Aaliya and Rachels Rockstar Adventure!::::WARNING: IF YOU ARE ALLERGIC TO SILLY RANDOM ROCKSTAR GIRLS, BRIGHT COLORED CLOTHING, CRAPPY PHOTO STORIES, AND THE EXCESSIVE USE OF COMMAS, PHARENTHESES, AND PERIODS, please turn back before it is too late::
If David Bowie can have an alter ego as cool as Ziggy Stardust, why can't the girls of N.E.N. (Not Exactly Normal)?
Introducing the rockstar alter egos of N.E.N's lead singer and guitarist ...
Slick Detective Hip Rock Hero (((Rachel made that 80's trenchcoat!))) and...
Pink Lightning, the Sugar Punk Faerie from the Planet Oz. (((I made this whole outfit (from scratch!) except for the jeans and the shoes. I should've have worn my wings and tiara for extra -incharacterness)))
Slick D planned to take a break from her investigating work today. This lasted until about noon when her turqoise fluffy topped detective pen went missing.
DUN, Dun, dun...
The detective wondered how she would crack this case.
Suddenly a bright light blinded the detective,
a hyper little pixie appeared,
Antwon was like... WTF?!?!,
And the faerie was like...I'll help you find your pen.
And so they became a duo.
But Slick D was suspicious of Pink Lightning. She considered the faerie a suspect of the crime. Seeing as pixies are known to be mischievious, the pen matched the pixies' outfit, and also because anyone who smiles and laughs that much HAS to be up to something.
So they journeyed to lands far and wide,
and searched for the precious pen.
<<Eek! Bra Strap!!! >_<>>
the female Mister Burns
who muttered "Excelllent" in response to each question,
they interviewed this guy, who... seemed a little too excited, if you get my drift,
and they interviewed an alien,
who, when questioned, tried to eat Slick D's arm.
With a whole day gone. and no new leads, Slick D decided to continue her search another day.
But she new, no matter how many days passed, she'd have to keep her eye on that darned pixie.
Whew! That's alot of pictures. That aren't particularly craft related. If I'm breaking some kind of picture limit rule, let me know and I'll tone it down.
