did you make sure to remove the presser foot holder and attach the quilting foot, and lower the feed dogs?  the quilting one has a little clear window.  i know this sounds trite, but the key is to just have confidence, and not worry about messing up.  thanks so much for all your praise everyone!  *feels so loved.*

just wondering, did you use a stabilizer on the wrong side of the fabric?

i do believe that i used tear away stabilizer, but i know i did not use it on my first attempt, the koi fish.  i have since used crisp, medium weight tear away on most non-stretchy things, and lightweight cut away on stretchy fabrics.  i have also recently had good results using spray stabilizer on jersey and lighter materials.
as for looking at my flickr- well that stuff is public, and i am flattered. <3  (i am way too lazy to tag my photos, though, so its very seldom non family members view my pages, since they don't often come up in searches.)
