I've just broken a huge mirror into some random shards. I've seen little pieces dangling from beaded strings in someone's garden once. Does anyone else have ideas about what to do with mirror shards and how I should finish the edges? Should I just sand them? Paint them?

Thanks!!

Chelsea

You could try finishing the edges with foil tape - like for stained glass.  One side of the foil is adhesive, so you just center it on the edge, and then wrap over the edges. Burnish using the back of a spoon.

You should be able to find it in both copper and silver.
