I haven't heard anything from Dabba, my partner, but it's been a couple o weeks or so and I'm sure she's received by now.  Smiley

We decided to give each other a bunch of different cds instead of an mp3 cover or whatnot, cos she says she hardly ever uses her mp3 player, and I already made a cover for mine...So I made her about 8 cds and spiffied up a silver cd holder I bought at Target!  It's painted with puffy fabric paint.  I rather like it!  (I looked at Dabba's wists and saw some cute wallets with both illustrations below, so i kinda, uh, borrowed them for the cd wallet)

et voila, le playliste! (heehee)

I can tell you, Fall is composed of

1 part dead fish smell
1 part wet leaves
1 part arctic chilled air (not winter chilled variety)
2 parts crunchy walking
a pinch very cold rain
some apples you picked yourself
a few very still moments
a good deal of inner reflection

That was an awesome CD bubba*tink (I know from experience) and the holder is the best! A bicycle (notice my previous post about being in a bicycle gang)!  That other pattern reminds me of an abacus, and the star zipper just makes it perfect! I love it - really. And I have to ask - do you do graphic design?

And don't worry anyone! Dabba sent a little late and we both have been having issues with the PM's.

Since I have been having issues with pm's can everyone please send their status on received items unless I responded to you? I responded to everyone who sent me their info - mostly just a quick thanks for the heads up.

Thanks everyone for an awesome (if still ongoing) swap!

YES!  It was an awesome swap!  Thanks everyone for picking out such great tunes!

well, kinda!  I was a photo assistant for five years and did some graphic design for the company.  I just quit on May 5th, and I've never been happier!  Now I'm taking a couple o months off to sew up a storm and cool off a bit.

I'm such a slug!  I'm so very sorry ladies life took a turn on me and I've had a couple of personal issues to deal with and had "unfinished" swaps.  Thank you bubba*tink for the cds and holder.  I had an 8 hour drive the other day and they came in handy Smiley  I love them!!!

I sent everyone elses out but it was via electronic doodad so it might not get out till today or monday.  Receipt in my pocket so if you dont get it soon then please pm me and I will resend you another one.  Again, I'm really sorry for the delay one everything!!!

dabba, no worries!!  Cheesy  Craftster should be the last thing going through your mind when things are happening in your life.

I'm glad you like the cds I made for you!  Most of them are from other cd swaps I was in...I wanted to give you a wide selection Smiley  I'm going to Myrtle Beach for a week on Tuesday, so if I get your cd by then I'll have new music for my car trip too!

I have received from everyone and have been having a great time listening to the CD's.  I have to say I was quite spoiled by my swap partner BatGrrl.  I got the book and two extra CD's from a live show by Fred from Cowboy Mouth in her living room!  (Did I get that right?  The CD is in my car...)  I also got a cute CD holder, but she went way out on the tunes themselves.  I stuck a bunch in the CD player at work (I work in a salon) and my coolness quotient went way up with the younger crowd.  Which is good, since I am the old one there, but really the only ex-punk, but I don't look it anymore, I remember when you had to buy your collar at the  pet store, not the mall.  How can any store at the mall be alternative? Ah, but I digress.

I am sorry I haven't written more, I did not know life was going to explode into spring, so thank you everyone for the great tunes, food for thought and some songs my husband did not already posess.  I hope you all like the CD I made, it ended up being quite mellow and slightly Americana in flavor.  There were so many songs I wanted to add, I should have just made more discs, next time...

So here's what Jane Doe sent me!

here's the track listing for the covers -

And the CD case - it's open here so you can see both sides!

and a CD of music to craft to

and another!

There's also a whole CD of Frou Frou and another of Imogen Heap.

Thank you so much, I really got spoiled on this one.

I can't find the pic of the cd case I sent you. If you get a chance, definately post a pic and playlist!

Oh - and we both had Jeff Buckley's Hallelujah on our cd's. How weird is that?
