Hey, just taking pictures so here are some from my one-on-one partner sissychrissy1

I have lighting issues

The case--a granola box way to recycle! And the cozy for my mini.

The picture of just the cozy doesn't seem to be working right, but it is so cute! pink sparkly felt with my name embroidered on it. By the way where do you get sparkly felt?

Here is the playlist, I have listened to it several times, it is very good. I especially like the instrumental covers.
I got you use my fancy digital camera, It has a setting for different kinds of texts!

Although I hated the original Kelis "milkshake" song, I love that cover!
It's so fun

And I see another "smells like teen spirit" cover Wink

For my own fun, I'm considering making a mix CD, another CD of girl covers, and another CD of boy covers, all 3 with the same playlist.

Eg first few tracks:
Smells like teen spirit
Time After Time
Hallelujah

CD1)OriginalsNirvana
Cindy Lauper
Leonard Cohen

CD2) Girl Covers
Tori
Eva Cassidy
Clare Bowditch

CD3) Boy Covers
Paul anka
Matchbox 20
Jeff Buckley

Paul anka's take on smells like teen spirit is hilarious!
=)
What a cack! I received that track from Hoxierice- sounds very michael buble-ish and so cheerful. I can imagine people swing dancing to it!

Did you recieve from me yet jaye?
I sent yours last Friday so it's been a week now.

I had Brena80's CD playing in the car today.
Britney Spears' Baby One More Time covered by Bowling for Soup is somewhere between funny, weird, and cool

Ohh.. sorry!
Yes! have received from you jane! .. where did you find the penny lane via orchestra version?
That was surprising! =)
I'm always wary of beatles covers- just coz i like the beatles' versions a lot, and am not sure other people can pull it off!

and yay! home in 2 days!

That would go nicely with the Flaming Lips cover of Under Pressure I sent you! And on that note - I'd love that cover too!

And by the way - I received from Jane Doe and Barbwire today! I'm so excited - that's everything! I'll post pics and playlists when I get the chance.

Jane -
I noticed the track (on Keep On Crafting) by Dar Williams - how could you have known I almost went to see her live?

And I've been looking for Imogen Heap for a while now - since well before xmas when I hard Hide and Seek on NPR - Thank you so much! (I had what they call on my local NPR affiliate a "driveway moment" with Imogen Heap where you get to where you're going to but you stay in the car to listen) There's so much more I love I'll have to PM you or rave when I post the playlists.

Barbwire - I am so happy with this mix - I haven't had a chance to listen - I just opened it like 5 min ago -  but just a scan of the playlist tells me I'm going to love it. Seeing Springsteen, Mellencamp and Los Lobos listed (as either original or cover artists) makes me KNOW I'll have to burn this for my dad. I'm also loving the fact that there's a Brown Eyed Girl cover (one of my fav songs) and when I saw Waits "Goin out west" was covered - I almost peed a little. That is also one of my favorite songs - one that I sang when I was in a girls bicycle gang in Minneapolis. I also can't wait to hear the David Byrne cover - I love him so much that it wasn't at all gross when he got sweat on me at a show.  There's nothing like sneaking down from the nosebleed seats to the front row. Smiley

Ok - that's all for now -  I also received from jaye. and bombarded her with pm's about how much I loved everything. Must stop raving about this!

I can tell you, Fall is composed of

1 part dead fish smell
1 part wet leaves
1 part arctic chilled air (not winter chilled variety)
2 parts crunchy walking
a pinch very cold rain
some apples you picked yourself
a few very still moments
a good deal of inner reflection
