I've heard the Tori Version of "smells like teen spirit" and an 8-bit one
Hmm, who is Paul Anka?

Looks like Nirvana is going to be another commonly covered group
(There's a different Nirvana track on my CD done in a french- sounding style)

Paul Anka was a "heartthrob" kinda singer from the '50s and '60s.

In my cd I don't think I have any Nirvana cover songs, but I have Nirvana covering a David Bowie song from their unplugged album Cheesy

sigh...nirvana...

I can tell you, Fall is composed of

1 part dead fish smell
1 part wet leaves
1 part arctic chilled air (not winter chilled variety)
2 parts crunchy walking
a pinch very cold rain
some apples you picked yourself
a few very still moments
a good deal of inner reflection

I only know of Paul Anka as the dog on Gilmore Girls.

And yes, the truth comes out - my one girlie pleasure is the Gilmore Girls. Which is a show I would have never had watched if a coworker hadn't insisted repeatedly that I WAS Rori - not only in looks but in spirit. So of course I had to check it out. I have to disagree, that girl can't make anything for herself, but at least I wasn't insulted by it (she's quick-witted, writes, and has decent musical and literary interests)!

I got my Cd's from Batgrrl today as well.  I was shocked and amazed when I opened the package.  My friend and husband were with me at the time and we have listened to music all day.  I was told to "give a good review to the person that made it!"  I now feel like mine don't even compare!!!  Fantastic job batgrrl!

What an absolutley fabulous playlist Batgrrl!!
Reading through it I so want to hear many of them. (Good taste in both the bands being covered and the bands doing the cover)
Especially:
The Ship Song - Concrete Blonde (Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds)
Caught a Lite Sneeze - Voltaire
The Scientist (Live) - Aimee Man

Gotta say I love that cover of "Where Did you Sleep Last Night" by Nirvana and I haven't heard it for years

And I'm surpised someone else has Cibo Matto on their list!
(they're covering a Nirvana track on mine)

Holy mother!
Those CD scrapbooks must have taken you ages to do Batgrrl!
And i agree! those playlists look awesome... Especially-
*Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere - Dar Williams (Neil Young & Crazy Horse)* Dar!! I've been telling everyone in adelaide to listen to Dar, but gave up when everyone gave me the one eyebrow raise. Perhaps i should start bugging people again?

What's on CD  5,6&7?? =p
