OOH Yay, I get to be the first person to post my goodies!
Jaye sent me a cute little cover for my Creative Zen Micro (his name is Pierre)made from blue felt that has red streaks in it, and some Boost bars (I got addicted to them when I was in Australia) and a Milo Bar - which we do actually have here but weirdly, they taste different, and of course, the Covers CD.

all the goodies...there was another Boost bar but I'd already eaten it...

The cover with Pierre in:

And the cover, showing Pierre!

The Tracklisting is as follows:
1. Like Someone in Love by Bjork, originally by Bud Powell
2. Message in a Bottle by John Mayer, originally by The Police
3. I Found a Reason by Cat Power, originally by Lou Reed
4. Are You Old Enough by Lazy Swans, originally by Dragon
5. Down About It by the Lemonheads, originally by Smudge
6. Temptation by Diana Krall, originally by Tom Waits
7. Time After Time by Matchbox 20, originally by Cindy Lauper (and is one of my all-time fave songs!)
8. There Is A Light That Never Goes Out by Speedster, originally by the Smiths
9. Truly by Something For Kate, originally by Hazel
10.Go Your Own Way by The Cranberries, originally by Fleetwood Mac
11.Smells like Teen Spirit by Tori Amos, originally by Nirvana
12.Stay Young by Donovan Frankenreiter, originally by Oasis
13.Message in a Bottle by John Butler Trio, originally by The Police (again  Tongue)
14.Hotel California by the Cat Empire, originally by The Eagles (I have so many covers of this song! But not this one, cool!)
15.Hallelujah by Clare Bowditch, originally by Leonard Cohen
16.I cant get no (Satisfaction) by Cat Power, originally by the Rolling Stones (I have the Cat Power CD this is off! and I went and saw the Stones when they were here about a month ago)
17.Quicksand by End of Fashion, originally by David Bowie
18.Blackbird by the Doves, originally by The Beatles
19.Baby, Please Don't Go by AC/DC, originally by Big Joe Williams

I havn't listened to the CD the whole way through but what I've listened to is great and I wanna hear the rest! And theres lots of Aussie tracks on there too I think.
The great thing is, I didnt even put any of the same tracks on my CD!

I hope I havent ruined anyones surprise by posting the Tracklisting, I've just realised that Jaye is maybe doing the multiple send-outs...Let me know if you want it taken down.

If it's your favourite song, you HAVE to hear the version of it that Eva Cassidy does.
It's truly soulful

Oh goody!
=)

Time After Time one of my favourites as well!

And Jelly- I've got a NZ chick doing my course, and she says that the chocolate in NZ tastes different to OZ chocolate too! And she was refering to cadbury chocolate which you would think would be fairly consistant in the way it's made....It's weird hey?? =p

I recieved my side-swap CD from jaye (Thanks hon!)
I haven't had the chance to listen to it, but the track listing looks great!

For interest sake, this is an interesting read about artists using classical music into their songs.
http://www.magle.dk/music-forums/940-modern-popular-songs-based.html
Eg:
"Karma" by Alicia Keys - contains a sample from Johannes Brahms' Violin Concerto
"They" by Jem - largely based on Prelude 12 from J. S. Bach's The Well-tempered Clavier (Book 2)
"Tubthumper" by Chumbawamba - quotes Jeremiah Clarke's Trumpet Voluntary

It is strange! English Cadbury chocolate also tastes waaaay different, and all english people swear it tastes far better, but it doesn't, it tastes crapper.
I think its something to do with the milk used? I dunno.

Well, I do know that Aussie chocolate has a slightly different recipie so it takes a hotter temperature to melt.
It's the same with a few other things - eg erasers. I bought an eraser in the UK and didn't think twice until I went to use it when I was home in Australia. It was like blutack!

ooh - already a repeat song but by a different artist! I also have one of those songs on my cd as well but I'll keep it a secret for now.

I received from hoxierice today but it will be a while before I can post pics because I've used up all my space on flickr for the month (too many swaps!) I can't wait to listen!

Thanks hoxierice!

I received from Hoxierice too!  I haven't heard it yet, can't wait!!

hoxie, don't worry about the sarah mclaghlan song, the rainbow connection is great no matter who sings it!!  (especially the muppets Smiley)

I was hoping I'd get the "baby one more time" cover by fountains of Wayne.  The first time I heard it, it sounded like a real song!  Then I realised what song it was, and made me appreciate it a little more.

I can tell you, Fall is composed of

1 part dead fish smell
1 part wet leaves
1 part arctic chilled air (not winter chilled variety)
2 parts crunchy walking
a pinch very cold rain
some apples you picked yourself
a few very still moments
a good deal of inner reflection
