I assumed since we didn't have any decisions made (like which park we would meet at, Batgirl!   Tongue  ), that it wasn't happening today. I'm fine with getting together another time as I've been working 60+ hours a week for the past 4 weeks. Oh God, do i need a rest!

On an unrelated note, roller derby starts tomorrow. Anybody going? I'll be working if you want to stop and say hi.

I hear ya Daddio! I have been working 7 days/week since January! Bah! I'm kinda happy to have an unplanned "free" night, especially as I'm working in the evening tomorrow, I have part of the day off too! Whee!

Okay, I can live with the fact that I haven't met any of you yet (missed the get together back in May - has there been another one?) and the potluck in the park fell through for the 15th, but now nobody's been on this thread for a week and a half and...

My DH will be out of town for the weekend - QUICK - let's put something (anything) together for Saturday!  Grin

I know that's short notice, so here's a more realistic suggestion... next month we HAVE to go to the Rocky Horror Picture Show!

I have an idea! What about having a holiday card making party? We could all convene somewhere, bring holiday card supplies, and get our holiday cards done over food, drinks and conversation. We could use my dining room if a suitable public room isn't available. What do y'all think?

I've never made cards. I have to admit, I'm a little intimidated.

I second that, plus I'm a little intimidated by the fact that I would have to be organized enough to get cards out this year  Wink

But it does sound like fun.  What sort of supplies/tools does one need to make cards?  As you can see, I have no experience whatsoever with paper crafts.

I've been a deliquent attendee of Craftster lately, but I've been trying to figure out how to find other crafty people for fun and adventure.  I'd be up for a card-making meet-up, and could bring ephemera, some papers, etc.  I'm actually trying to lessen my paper-stuff stash.

I'd love to get in on this as well.  I have a ton of stamps and bits I'm happy to share.  This year I'm determined to actually send cards out!

Batgirl, that's a good idea.

And daddio, if you jumped into sewing, don't be intimidated by card making.  It's not rocket science!  Cheesy

Wow, October's almost half over, and it's snowing right now.  I'm ready to make cards!  When are we going to meet up?
