It's comforting to know that I'm not the only person who sits and figures out all the math in this blanket. Wink

I love those bright squares!

This reminds me that I need to pick this up again.  I've been working on it a long time, and I'm not very far, so it's kind of frustrating that I still have so much left to do.

Im knitting this too but I found my sample knitted squares that I started a year ago and went right off the wool and colours.
Instead of wasting time and money, I turned it into a bag.

I'm loving it if I say so myself.   Roll Eyes

This bag is awesome! What a great idea. I am working on two small mitered squares blankets right now but I am sure I will have leftover yarn... definitely making a bag like this!

bump.

Is anyone still working on this?

I started in early December but took a long break from it before picking it up again recently. I have about 40 individual squares done (wish I had searched it earlier and could've seen the 4 square method ugh). This last weekend I took a break from knitting and started sewing what squares I have together. Mattress seam. LOVE IT! I'm using black and rainbow colors (red, orange, yellow, blue, green, purple) - the black is the outside squares. It's going to be a gift for my younger sister for her high school graduation. She's supposed to come visit me in late May after her graduation so I was planning to have it done by then so I can send it back with her (I'm living in Japan and she lives in the states). I hope it's not too bright and crazy for her...

Maybe I'll post some pictures later (at work now).

I'll join, I've got some funky acrylic to get rid of. Some of it's variegated(is that spelled right?) so I might not do stripes on all of them...but I've started a small square to check it out!

I'll join! I'm making two as de-stress projects. I call one my Psycho Squares and one my Random Fandom Afghan because I'm interspersing squares representing my fave movies/books/shows.

The psycho one is random leftover acrylic and the Fandom one is lily sugar and cream cotton, my fave yarn.
