This is a great site.  Such creative stuff.  Thanks for the inspirations everyone.

Tired of staring at my ugly fireplace hearth and decided after 10 years to do something with it!!  A little mirror mastic, broken (cut) mirror and grout and tada!!

Wow. I bet it looks amazing when you er... light your fireplace (? I've never had a fireplace, nor have I lived in a country that's that cold, so I'm not hip to the lingo).

That is so beautiful! It'll really look spectacular with a fire lit.

LOOKING FOR A PERSONAL SWAP: I'm hoping for dinosaur-themed Xmas crackers, or other dinosaur Xmas items. I can make a Jayne Cobb hat, or many other things!

I have a question, as I'm about to grout around a mirror....

Does the water from the grout damage the silver around the edges of the mirror pieces at all? I've been wondering about that and if I need to take steps to protect the edge or not.

Your fireplace looks great!

How do you clean the mosaic when soot gets on it?

That is gorgeous. I'm working on my kitchen now, but next, my fireplace. Thanks for such a great idea.
