I made this bear as part of a going away present for my boyfriend. He is going to America to do camp councelling for three months so i thought this would help out when he is feeling home sick. How cute is the airplane button on his jumper!!   Smiley

Though I like knitting a bit more, I think crochet takes much less patience. It's usually ~way~ faster. Smiley
So you might give it a try!

I totally agree. I started out crocheting, then went to knitting. Although knitting has prettier stitches and A LOT more patterns/books available, crocheting is a lot quicker and easier.  Think about it this way, you're only dealing w/ one hook vs 2 needles.

Another thing you may want to try is the knitting looms (knifty knitter, knitting jeani).  They're incredibly fast (wrist warmers and hats takes me a couple hours at most) and easy.  The only tricky part at first is setting up the yarn on the loom.  But once ya figure it out, it's great. =)
