Screw the guy, you should go anyway! You'd probably have more fun.  The dress is gorgeous by the way.

That's a gorgeous dress! That boy is completely and utterly a fool for uninviting you.

I myself have never been to prom (I'm a sophomore too) but a lot of my friends and relatives all agree that it's very overrated. My brother is at his girlfriend's prom and the only reason they're both going is because her parents want them to.

Reading all the replies in this thread has given me the warm fuzzies inside. Such support is why I love Craftster.  Cheesy

Boys.  UGH!  He doesn't deserve to even be seen with you, anyway.

The dress is gorgeous and you look great in it.  The paint job is beautiful.

As an aside, thanks for the laugh at the image of the wind smacking the wet fabric into your face.  That is so something that would happen to me.  Cheesy

and was then uninvited to prom (prom is this Saturday.)

Oh you poor baby!  Cry Cry Cry I know how you feel  Kiss

Put the dress aside for a couple of weeks and then finish it anyway when you feel better. You have a lot of life ahead of you and part of your great future will be wearing that dress for someone new that will appreciate you later.

Say, it's no longer a prom dress. Ten years or even one year from now, it's only one night of your life. It's now a pretty dress waitinig for the right occaision to be worn. I'll bet it will be worn many times in the future with a great smile with the right 'one'!

You look beautiful and he is . . . well, a 16 year old boy.  They don't really completely ripen for another 10 or so years. Cheesy

This is gorgeous. Don't worry too much about prom - I ended up not going, either. I spent prom night thrifting with my mother. It was way better than any boy.
