Here is a quilted wallhanging I did for my son to hang in his dorm room. We found this great chalkboard fabric and he just had to have it. He has music tatoos and so the lady at the fabric store joked that he could use it to compose his masterpiece, which is really kinda what he wanted it for. I used Mata's star block, which I absolutely love, and the green and black fabric are of musical instruments.

Sorry about the picture, my walls are so full I didn't have anywhere I could hang it up.

Very neat idea! I have never seen chalkboard fabric.

Does it wipe off like a chalk board?

Nice stars too! Cheesy

The trademark name is chalkcloth and it is a lightweight vinyl that works like a chalk board. You write on it with chalk and erase it when you want. Sometimes you do have to use a damp cloth to wipe it off as the chalk does build up. Look up 'chalkcloth' on the internet and you can find it. I bought it at Greenbaums in Salem, Oregon if any of you are in Salem. My only advise is to use a cool iron as it does melt with heat.
