I made these for my Dachshund when she went into heat..  They were a lifesaver....   I also made her several harnesses for the holidays...  She is such a spoilled girlie

Niza is 1.  She is a bad girl, but I love her.  She has a blog if you're interested:  http://alonglittledog.livejournal.com.

Yours looks like the Doxie I had growing up.  So cute!

My chi is terribly jealous of your doxie's matching harness and leash.  She told me to find out where you find the hardware and if you use a certain pattern or not.  She really, really wants one in some kind of oriental-ish brocade.

Oh, she also wants me to ask you if you sew the leashes and how.  Do you just cut a strip and double it up?  She says I should probably mention that I'm a novice-novice sewer.  I have machines that'll work just as soon as I replace some gears in them, but actually using the machines is something I have little experience with.

The hardware is from walmart.. You want heavy duty d rings> these were NOT the ones from the purse making supplies.. As for the pattern I made  my own pattern.. Kwik sew has a dress pattern that you can adapt to your needs.. How much does yours weigh?  As for a leash yes they are sooooo easy to make.. You will need some nylon webbing sold at walmart or joanns or any fabric craft store... It is 1 inch wide.  You can just make a scruncie or a long loop 2 times the length of the webbing and slip it over the webbing and then attach your hardware.. If you need any help pm me...

Oh my gosh! That doxie dress is the cutest thing!  Your doxie looks just like my mom's dog.  I have a black/tan one named Goober (he was already named when I adopted him).  He's 13 and I love him to pieces!
