Jo-ann's quilt kit

How-dee-doo!

I get my nails done every 2 weeks and the girl who's always done them got "knocked up" (to use HER term). Anyway, She's due in July and said she was doing her daughter's room in pink, teddybears, and ballet.

I hopped over to jo-ann's looking for inspiration and came across a kit of pre-matched fabrics, similar to this package:

Anyway, I decided this afternoon (my first REAL day off work for the summer...at least until summer school starts Friday) I was going to tackle it. In less than 3 hours from start of cutting fabric to tying of yarn I was done! I only quilted around the fuzzy border and used yarn at the seams of each different fabric.

This is the second quilt I've ever completed, the other is found somewhere in the recesses of this forum.

Anywho.
Your quilt is great. I love the fabric you got...wish I had a Jo-Ann's close by (although my bank account is better off without one!). I love ballet stuff! That's great...I'm sure she'll appreciate it!

Part of me is wishing I had done more machine quilting on it but one minor problem...when I made my first one, I broke the foot I was using to quilt and haven't found another like it Sad

Just a little update-I gave her the blanket and she told me she's not going to let the baby have it! LOL

She wants to hang it on the wall instead. First kid Tongue
