I finished this last year over spring break but never posted it for some reason. This is an art quilt I made for my Fibers II class ("art quilt" meaning not meant to be used--it's too small). I hand-dyed all the fabric--I believe there are something like 12 colors in all? The back is pretty too, but it's on my wall so I can't take a picture at the mo Tongue The colors were inspired by peacocks, although the yellow I just added 'cause it's pretty.

Finished quilt is 4x5' with blue binding. Enjoy!

I'm not doing personal swaps right now, but if you're interested, go ahead and PM me anyway--maybe we can work it out for later. Smiley

oooh! Me likey~!

I like the uneveness of the blue diamonds, and yet all the seams match up.

I think the yellow in the corner makes the quilt.  It draws your eyes into that bright crisp light blue in the center.

I'd love to see the back when you get a chance.

Thank you! Yes, the diamonds are skewed on purpose--but they're done with a LOT of measuring. It's very methodical madness Wink

Lovely colours, I'd love to have a go at hand dyeing.

You should! It's so much fun and really not difficult at all! Dharma Trading Company has great resources for getting started.
