The amount of detail is fantastic! I think if I had even an ounce of your talent that my royal icing roses wouldn't come out looking like cabbages.

10 years old? OMG I hope she  appreciates how beautifully this cake was done. You should go into cake designing business girl! That cake design looked like something you'd see at a realllllllly expensive tea parlour or something:-)

I wouldn't even know where to begin with a tute! It's basically a cake baked in a pyrex bowl, ends cut off to make it more "teapot-like", and covered in rolled fondant.  The rest, the spout, base and fairies are all shaped fondant or sugarpaste.  I have a book that has all of these designs.  I've never taken a class, just taught myself.

Oh, and I still can't make roses. Bleh. Undecided

So how did you make strawberry flavoured cake?  With strawberry mush, or flavouring and pink colouring?  I've never had a strawberry flavoured cake, but I've had pink ones

strawberry cake mix i bought at the store. hmmm....by the "u" in your spelling of flavor i'm going to guess you live on the same side of the pond as me (i'm in england)  Grin i don't think i have ever seen a strawberry cake mix in any local store like waitrose or tesco....it's just a good ol betty crocker cake mix!

Grin ok, see where you are from on your profile...if you desperately want a strawberry cake mix maybe i can arrange something! Wink
