Oh wow, I really love the pillowcase too! How did you do the record cover? Is it a little square of fabric you stitched on?

I know what you mean! I am such a freak when it comes to ironing on letters. It takes me, like, 15 minutes to muster the courage to press the iron down.

If anyone knows any tricks (tried a ruler once; didn't help), please enlighten us!  Smiley

I had the same problem with the letters being crooked, so here's what I did:  I bought the transfer pattern of Jenny's, then I went on my word processor.  I found a cute font, typed and printed out the phrase I wanted, then used the carbon paper to transfer it on the pillowcase!  here's how it came out:

OMG! I may be a nerd for saying this but I totally got butterflies of excitement to see that JENNY posted a comment! *breathe* *breathe*

To answer the Q, I used fabric paint to shade the record cover. I'm also an avid stenciler and find that embroidery and stenciling make a really really cute couple. I try to mix media whenever I can, like stitching borders, detail, or patterns on stenciled bags, shirts, and what-have-you...

OMG! I am SO BOOKMARKING THIS! The last time my boyfriend went on the road (he's also a musician), I brought out his pillow, and he was like, "UMmmm, do we have anything less GIRLIE"? He was mortified in front of the guys, but I thought it was funny. It was a choice between pink, and rose, and pink and rose flowers.

I'm guessing he deserves a nice rock and roll pillowcase out of this one!
