Having knitted a great many kitty hats, I needed some variation.

And although I haven't crocheted in over 20 years, I managed to make this hat and shoes for my colleagues new born baby boy.
I followed a pattern from a dutch book I got from a thriftshop, and added the cat ears and paws on a trial and error basis.

It's probably going to be that one piece of clothing that they'll put on the baby once for a picture and then dissapears to the back of the closet, but I had a lot of fun making it.
And I've learned that like riding a bycicle and skating, you never forget how to crochet!

Thanx for looking.

SO CUTE! I've been making grown-up sized kitty hats since I started crocheting, but that is just so cute I might graduate to baby-sized ones... now, if only I had a baby to crochet for XD

Those are very sweet.  I'm sure they'll get worn.  Baby stuff never really gets used for long, but your pretty items can be used on a baby doll when the little tyke starts to play with dolls!

The paw prints on the bottoms of the booties are so sweet!  Such great attention to detail!  Very cute!
