So, I made a purse for myself a few months ago.  It turned out to be a bit bigger than what I like to carry around.  So, a friend bought it from me.  Well, that same friend has a birthday coming up, so I tried my hand at a wallet (this is my very first wallet EVER).  It matches the purse I made.

Thank you all very much!  There are a few flaws..but now I know what to correct if I want to make more.

I'm really beginning to go through power tool withdrawals...so I really need to get back out in the garage soon!

Here is the matching purse:

Great wallet and purse!

Is there a tutorial you used to make a wallet? or did you wing it? I'd love to make one myself, but haven't found a tutorial for that style wallet yet.

No - I just winged it.  I also started a pattern...but by the time I got to the pockets, I forgot to finish the pattern (just started cutting fabric).  OOPS.  I have a couple other projects to finish this week.  I do have another friend requesting a wallet...so if I can get to it soon enough - I'll try my hand at my very first tutorial ever.

Unfortunately, I can't take credit for the bag style.  It was a pattern.  I had never used a pattern before for a purse...but I kinda fell in love with this style, so I bought it.  Wink
