i was all excited about this bag until i showed it to my grandma saying, "look! i made this!" and she responded with her nice grandmotherly-cover-up voice saying, "oh i thought so...".  yeah... now i'm not sure if i have decided if it is cute and random or hideously ugly.  there is a lot more stich detailing on the straps and such with contrasting thread.

anyway, i had a very good time making it and using up some fabric scraps - OH! and the recon part of it.  the red puma fabric is from a tshirt and the satin on the insides is from a belly dancing costume i had lying around...

i was thinking about a tutorial but it is just a regular hobo bag with stuff sewn and painted on, so it isn't that difficult.  if you have any questions let me know.  you'll probably get a fast response because it's my first post (ive procrastinated for long enough) and i'll probably be checking back all the time. Cheesy

inside (my friend made the comment about this being the hidden sexy part of the bag - hence the title of the post)

"hi i'm jill! i'm sexy! and i made this bag!" (another quote from that friend...sarah you make me chuckle!)

Is the title describing the bag or its maker?  I vote both!!! <--(3 exclamation points=serious)

But celery, stewed,
Is more quietly chewed.

oh kelleys, originally it was just meant to be about the puma mixed with satin, but you know i guess it could be applied to both...haha, thanks for the confidence boost.

I think grandma didn't appreciate the work put into it and the fact that you had fun and used random scraps should be acknowledged. I think you did a great job! Be proud of your work! And keep it up!
