Just baked it. I'm simply in love with it. So easy to prepare, so fast to bake, so little dishes to clean : ) And I second spunkyPOPmonkey's remark about the low fat content. After eating several errm pieces I still don't feel stuffed or anything. I served it with vanilla ice-cream. Awesome.

inspired by the starbucks' expresso brownie, I'll try the recipie and re-arrange it in order to approach their over-expensive (anyway, in switzerland starbucks' rediculously pricey) treat!

Hello, yumminess!!  I baked this last night, and everybody absolutely loved it.  I whipped together a frosting for the top:

2 TBSP Earth Balance Buttery Sticks
1/2 cup cocoa
2 TBSP soymilk
1 cup powdered sugar
1 tsp vanilla
handful chopped walnuts

Warm 2 tbsp. buttery stick, soymilk, and cocoa on the stove or in the microwave until the buttery stick is just melted.  Add vanilla and stir.  Add powdered sugar by the 1/4 cup, mixing well, until the full 1 cup has been whipped into the mixture.  Quickly spread frosting on top of cake and toss walnuts on top.  This recipe makes just enough for this particular cake (I used an 8x8 inch pan).

This frosting is pretty dang sweet, almost like fudge, but is muy delicioso and was gone (along with the cake) in no time flat.  Whoo hoo for quick and easy and extremely yummy vegan chocolate cake!

I think since it lacks milk & eggs it can survive longer too Cheesy  It's been about a week, and it's not at all crumbly/stale tasting!
