I am so sorry to hear about your mother. It is wonderful though that you have found a way to express your love and grief. Crafting is a great therapy!

crafting is indeed great therapy! i hadn't picked up a needle and thread since elementary school before this year, and now i can't wait to get home from work everyday to make something new.

if mame was right and life really is a banquet, then i think i'm on a diet...totally against my will.

Your cat is wonderful.  My mother died a few years ago of breast cancer.  Mother's day week is always so hard -- especially as her birthday falls near by.  I've usually tried to take the day off and do something nature-related, something we shared.  But this year, with a new job and the horrible northeastern weather, I couldn't do that.  I really love your idea of crafting an item -- so much more meaningful and therapeutic than most of the other things I've tried.  And such a beautiful cat!

goddamn right it's a beautiful day

That is truly beautiful.  I think it's perfect, and I know your mom would think so too.

I'm sorry for your loss, and I'm glad you've found a way to heal.  Good for you!

couldn't see pics, but it sounds like a wonderful gift!

I lost my mom 3 years ago and the pain is still raw at times.
