Well I decided I wanted to make my dress the week before prom. Haha. I couldn't find anything spectacular without digging waaaaaaay deep in my [parents'] pockets so figured the best way to go would be to make it.
My mom did most of it, actually, because I probably couldn't follow directions to the T if my life depended on it. I'm supposed to make another for a wedding this upcoming Saturday all on my own though. That's actually what I should be doing now. Hah.

I'm pretty proud of it though. For my mom, at least. A lot of people couldn't believe that it was home-made. One of my friends even asked me if I got it from Banana Republic because he knows I've bought a dress from there before.

I don't have any full body pictures with me in it yet, but I had 3 professional photos [or whatever you want to call em] taken at prom so I'll scan those whenever they come in. And whenever I get around to it.

This is it laying out on my messy bed.

I added the tulle sash literally right before prom. While waiting for the limo, I had my mom take me to walmart in my dress to buy it. Haha. People in this town act like they've never seen a dress before.  Undecided

Not a full shot, but the bodice at least.

It was fairly easy to make, just a pain to cut out. I also went a size to big with it, so we had to take the bodice in a few times.

It was SUPER HEAVY. This next one I'm about to start working on in a bit should be much lighter though because the fabric isn't half as thick as the black stuff.

I think that's it.

Wow! Gorgeous dress ... and couple!

Thanks! But that's my best friend. Tongue! My date was one of my girl friends. And I didn't even get a picture with my boyfriend. Haha. oops. Well I got one taken by the hired photographer.

Anyways, thanks for all of the compliments! I forgot to mention I also wore black satin gloves like the model on the cover of the pattern [except her's are white].

Thanks! Yep, I was the only one with a print like that, as far as I know.
