Glad to see this being discussed.  My sis and I have been ranting about these ads lately (she's a veg).  Anyway both of us think it's disgusting what a giant step back these ads are.  BK should be ashamed for not only providing th nation with junk food but also reinforcing negative male stereotypes...real men eat meat...what kind of crap is that?  A real man is judged by his actions not by how much greasy food he can stuff in his mouth!  Real man my behind!  As if eating junk food makes a man more virile and attractive...it makes him fat!!!   ::fumes::

I saw the BK ad last night... she's holding the needle in her left hand underneath (the regular way) but she seems to be holding the one in her right hand like a pencil.

As far as the commercial with the guy in the mask, I thought it was creepy.  And I'm a guy.  Then again, part of the creepiness was knowing that some advertising wonks thought that this commercial would have advertising appeal to their target demographic, which I'm ostensibly part of... I think I should feel insulted.  The same goes for that non-sequitur ad campaign for the new HondaYaris (Yuris, Yunis, Uranus?  What the hell?)

BK is gross. Oh. I wish they didn't use a knitter.

If these walls came crumblin' down
Fell so hard, to make us lose our faith
From what's left you'd figure it out
Still make lemonade taste like a sunny day

I love the creepy Burger King king. I want to be his friend, cause he seems fun. And he doesn't talk. And he'd give me a veggie burger without mayo. Presumably for free. And I'd knit him new stockings. Because he wears his a lot.

i haven't seen this one. but i did recently see a whiska's commercial. a woman who was knitting was a fairly prominent part of it, because, you know, kittens and knitting always go hand in hand.  Undecided

Uhh.. all of my male friends get freaked out by the Burger King too.  All of them.
