so i found this sweat shirt on a rack in a far corner of our local salvation army. and i loved it. but i knew it had to be fixed...

here it is before! i'm not sure what it says being that i cannot read japanese. but i guess it's a power rangers-esque cartoon.

and after! (please forgive that wonky loook) i took in and shortened the sleeves, and also created a boat neck.

so, i was originally thinking about cutting it down the middle, then adding like 5 strips of green fabric to the inside with buttons to button the sweatshirt together. i'm not sure if that's clear... like between the two halves of the sweat shirt, i would sew a green strip of fabric  (about 1/2 inch wide) and it would button on the inside.

but i don't know... should i just leave it? please let me know what you think!!! all ideas welcome and appreciated!

xoxo colleen

Leave it! The cardigan type idea is cute, but it will ruin the image on the front of the sweatshirt! I think the whole allure is the image and text anyway. Love the shape as is!  Smiley

I like it the way it is... it's looks great!
the only other thing I could imagine doing to it is making it into a hoodie... but then that's just me  Grin

it says daerenojya... although that first kanji (the first symbol) is a bit weird looking... and the writing above it says something about 5 guys doing something.... I cant read all the kanji (japanese have over 30,000 lol) very cute Smiley

That's power-rific! Maybe you could cut it in half down the back and have it button up that way... so when you are walking down the street, people will see you from the front and say "could that get any cooler?" and then when you walk past them, they will see the back and POW! be hit by a fantastic ray of power-button-ness.

I wouldn't change it, but I like young_modern's suggestion!  And also the hoodie suggestion.  I think it's very cute and you did a good job!
