Well i thik this is how we should do it 1. we should send a purse that we have over to the swapper and then they fill it wih whatever hey want 2. The swapper send a purse of their own with stuff that they filled it up with and sends i to the swap reciver 3. they send a box or something that has stuff that they think a purse would have in it! what do you people think about it? Huh

better set a size limit on how big the purses can be (8 inches long by 6 inches high by 4 inches deep as an example) or you'll have some folks with tiny little clutch purses and others with monsters you can pack a tent, two weeks of supplies and a small donkey in.

sounds interesting though..

Oh my god that cracked me up! It sounds like my purse!

Wait......did my purse just kick and say HEE HAW!?!

hehehhehehehe   Wink

But you did make a good point. General size guidelines are a good idea.  No smaller than X no bigger than Y.  A range would allow for creativity and keep people from getting nutty.

for humor this is coming out of a person who has fit
a 10x20 foot pavilion with canvas
a 30 gallon cooler (filled with food)
a 30 pound propane tank and turkey cooking size burner
2 camp chairs
a queen size air mattress and pump, sheets and quilts for an arctic winter
a 10x6x14 cooking box
two army duffel sized bags of clothing, cloaks, garb and boots
a army duffel sized bag of boffer weapons
a three foot padded round shield
a nine foot boffer polearm
the three foot by five foot crusader banner and hanger (but he rolled up small)
and two people (fairly comfortably) in a 2000 Dodge Neon R/T (manual tranny) for a twelve hour drive from Corpus Christi Texas to Riodoso New Mexico for a week long Amtgard camping event.

The looks on the guys faces when we packed everything *back* in for the drive home was... shall we say? Priceless?

We had a little more room going home, the food was a self correcting problem and empty cooler space got stuffed with dirty laundry.

So I have NO room to snicker at the donkey, tent, two week provisions jokes..  Wink

that would be easier at least as far as not having to wait for a purse to arrive to fill with goodies.

I still think a size standard would be good... just to keep things more or less fair.

I suspect (not the organizer here) that we'd be stuffing the purse with a mix of made and purchased loots...

sad thing.. I don't carry a purse... but I still think this will be fun...

this is really neat.  i'd love to do this swap, but i like the idea of making/decorating a purse much better than person 1 sending a bag to person 2 and then sending it back to person 1...
