I'm not really sure exactly how much resin is required (for jewelry & stuff), Knit_core, but I thought it was basically just 2-part epoxy (the resin and a catalyst to harden it.) So, my best guess would be a hardware store. I've used epoxy for years in my jewelry making, but never by itself. It sounds super messy, and fun! LOL Please let us know if you have any luck!

Does anybody know if I'm totally wrong (epoxy=resin?) I know you can drill & sand epoxy after hardening, dunno about "resin" though!  Undecided

I love everybody's packages! Everyone got such different & awesome stuff - including me! I can't wait for the next dance! LOL  Cheesy

where does one find a resin kit?  I've been looking everywhere that seems reasonable (and even everywhere that seems unreasonable) in my local craft stores, and I can't find any!  Huh

There is a craft store in Portland, OR(It's called crafterswarehouse-they have a website) that actually makes up the kits. They put all the resin stuff you need and then you also get the box with 4 coasters. It's under 20.00. The resin kit has lasted me through 4 projects and I still have more.

stargirl and i have both received from each other. i haven't had a chance to take pictures of the wonderful goodies i got, but here are photos of what i sent her.

i stalked a bit and saw that she had wanted a pair of knit mary jane slippers. i knit them from wool i dyed in various shades of red kool aid.

a reversible tote bag. one side is red, they other a black with tiny white polka dots.

and a close up of the star button and shaky polks dot fabri:

stargirl is a math major and i wanted to do more math themed stuffs, but i only ended up with these 2 small items. a pencil case made from spirograph print fabric and 4 notecards with math quotes on them.

and finally a harry potter style messenger bag. i embroidered her initials on the flap, it is in her house colors (gryfindor), has a magical/star print lining (not pictured), and embellished with hogwarts pin and nimbus 2000 key chain.

that gnome shirt is so silly, yet so cute!  and oh the felted goodness!  felting soap intimidates me.

knit core: i've never seen a resin kit per say, just various kinds of resin at michael's on the glue and clay asile.  and yeah, it's kinda pricey, but luckily there are 40% off coupons!

hehe!  I was wondering what I was going to do with my 40% off coupon, this week!  Grin
spirograph print fabric!!!!  That is so cool!  And I love those star buttons.  Smiley

Debbies only get respect in the knitting world.  How unfair is that?

Because Poe wrote on both of them.

Anyone up for a Jasper Fforde swap?

I love that HP bag. I've got a stash of tokens from a Harry Potter game, I'm just waiting for a partner who loves the books to make a bracelet out of them. Cheesy
