Happens to me all the time.  I sent a package (from Canada) to the Netherlands and it arrived before the packages that I sent to the US.  Hmmm...

I just got my AMAZING package from Mata... she went way way above and beyond.  Thank you so much, Mata!

I feel like I went to go pick her up for prom and she's wearing a gorgeous designer gown, and I have on one of those t-shirts with the tuxedo printed on it Sad  Everything in her package she sent is so amazing and unexpected, WOW. (Warning, lots and lots of scans, I couldn't find my camera this morning...)

Ok, well here is what I was expecting...

A cute cute clutch, it is very well made, there is a cute little zipper pocket inside!

I love love the fabric, the pattern Mata used was the Dorothy clutch by Amy Butler.

Some gorgeous italian yarn, first is a bulky variegated wool, and second is a cotton/linen/acrylic blend:

Ok, now for all the extras...

Two Italian magazines, one is on decor and the other is the most famous embroidery magazine, according to Mata.  I certainly see why, there are tons of embroidery patterns inside and they are amazing.

Extra fabric in the same pattern as the clutch, so I can make a matching tote to go with it, so thoughtful and some origami paper from the local chinatown in Milano.

A gorgeous postcard of Milano, this is only the view of the middle section, it is actually quite long and there are two other sections that fold out.

Some Italian candy, I popped one of the caramel ones in my mouth right away.  It was like Werther's Originals, but even better.  When I read her note, I found out that they were sugar free!  Even better!

Some flower seed packets, I have two empty planters at the moment, perfect for them to go in!
She wrote "A bouquet of flowers for the loveliest prom date from Vegas!" (awww)

Ok, now for the grand finale, this:

The design is about 4" x 10" and is amazing!  I had something like this on my Wist-list for a long time and she made my vision come to life exactly as I had imagined!  I am going to search for the perfect frame for it this weekend!

Thank you thank you so much, Mata!  I will definetly have to come up with a second package because I feel like such a %^$!@ right now.  I love everything.  Sooo... when my package gets there just consider it a pre-party, and the post-prom party will come later... Smiley

I'm so glad you received aschnebly, thanks for posting pics! It was a pleasure to find out all about you (although reading all of your posts.. took some time!! hehe) Cheesy I only crafted 2 things after all, the rest was my idea of "my country doesn't have that" personalized for my prom date swap partner..

What beautiful stuff mata!  I love the fabric you used on the hand bag!  (My mother in law would love that Vegas embroidery-- she goes to Vegas as often as she can!)  Wink
