i got my angel package from jane feebles whilst i was on vacation, but here it finally is, in all its glory!

the whole shebang: a green bay packer pony and one for me to revamp, aussie candy (er...the rest is in my tummy), huge beach ball, button pins, cute cute little birdy paper clips, and a nautilus cloche!

wow, craptastic photo of the packer pony.  my mom's side of the family lives in wisconsin, and we were visiting them, so she's been quite a hit!

buttons!  yep, she made them.  i love love love the car, and ice is always appreciated in texas.   Wink

the most awesome crochet item EVER!!!  a nautilus!  i literally jumped up and down and ran about to show every one in the house.  i am very, very in love with him.  and he's just as cute on the other side!

action shot.  excuse my giddy this-is-the-best-hat-ever-and-i-just-got-up face.  i'm not the model to do this hat justice.  it's got a neat spiral pattern like a shell too!

isn't my angel amazing?  yes indeedy!   Kiss

And with that, the swap is officially done! Thanks to everyone for being such good partners, and special thanks to our four angels: teapotdnky, foufigirl, cinderly, and jane feebles!!  Kiss

Edited to add: whoops, I spoke too soon. We are still waiting on bloocanoe's package from the_littlest_ninja to somehow find its way there. Everyone think good postal thoughts!

that would be a great hat to wear to a seafood restaurant! The nautie looks like a cute l'il shrimp!  Cheesy

I know! This sucks! poor ninja 's first package to me went MIA and she kindly made me another one and this one is also still en route. I have this vision of a Customs Officer who has been opening my parcels and is now prancing around the border in hand-made goodies.  Tongue

The hat looks great on you determinedimprovisation! So glad I got it right  Smiley
I stitched a little pin into the nautilus so she can unpick him from the hat and wear him as a brooch if she wants too as well- though I think he looks pretty good where he is

Do you stitch? Do you bitch? Do you live in BrisVegas?? http://brisbanesnb.wordpress.com/

sighing, she stared wist-fully across the crowded buffet table

YAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!  I'm at the prom!! (where is everyone? what summer fling??  Cheesy)

I received thelittlestninja's replacement parcel (first one went missing en route  Tongue) yesterday and it was this little box crammed full of goodies! Everything was so beautifully wrapped in little boxes that it felt like my birthday- I kept pulling these little boxes out of the shipping box wondering how she had fit everything inside!

We had decided to swap 1-2 things in each of three categories of things: knit items, knitting accessory items, and a surprise.  The littlestninja sent me:

-a beautiful lightweight Koigu scarf in jewel tones that I love (I had no lightweight scarves and wanted one!)
-a fabulous panta in puple merino that is perfectly made and in gorgeous colours (I didn't have a panta either! is it fall yet? I want to wear it!)
-gorgeous knit stitch markers in beautiful beads (and one has a little dragon charm!) which was also something I really, really wanted
-perfect little blue dangly earrings that I put on as soon as I opened them
-a wonderful little bookmark that I love and started using right away
-a little blue journal with leaves on the front- my first handmade journal!  Grin
-a slide necklace with wavy blue patterns on it - her first ever attempt at soldering and it looks great!
-two sweet little fabric flower bobby pins that are super since I got my long hair cut shorter recently and really needed something for my long bangs!

I think that's it.. there were so many things that I hope I haven't forgotten anything! Thank you so much ninja, you really made me things that are so perfect for me and I thank you so much for making me a second parcel.  If you can post pics of what we sent each other that would be great! thank you so much again for everything!  Kiss
