I am working on this pattern for my daughter (scroll down to last pattern on page--#4262).

This is one of the fabrics I am using...

The other two fabrics are a red and cream Oriental fan cotton fabric and a black fabric with chili peppers on it (Wal-Mart!!!!)

It's a tank top/jumper dress and everything works out "okay".  Until I get to the damn zipper--HELP!  I want to either figure out how to do this neatly (by hand is fine) or reconfigure the dress to have no zipper or buttons...

I don't know exactly what your zipper problem is - perhaps you can expand on that a bit so we know what kind of tips and help to give you?

(The dress is really cute. Smiley )

Zippers always seem to give me problems too.  I find it helps to hand baste the zipper into place before I sew it on the machine.  Much less slippage.

Don't call it trash...I can make something with it!!!

I am "zipper phobic"!  I can't seem to get them just right (LOL!) and am maybe looking for a way or a tutorial on installing them...

Yeah, I like the dress pattern Smiley  I finished all three today, and am constructing one out of a shirt from my husband's clubbing days...

Did you make the bloomers, too?  Were they easy?
