hey everyone, i really want to make the spiderman hat and my mum recently gave me a couple of balls of debbie bliss cashmerino chunky in a lovely colour pink but i was just wondering whether this would be suitable for this hat. or if i'd need to make any changes or just use a different yarn! i'm a pretty new knitter so have no idea!! Cheesy

sorry forgot to switch that one around...oh well...so here's my boyfriends version with a poof ball (he insisted).  He loves it and hasn't stopped wearing it since i've finished it.

I knit one using the Elizabeth town pattern yesterday~ using Cascade 220 yarn in violet.  I don't quite like how it fits on my head.. I think I should've added more cast on stitches so it would be a looser/slouchier fit... but oh well.  It was a fun project to work on. Smiley

I found a pattern for a modified pithy hat here:
http://kellymaher.wordpress.com/2007/03/14/big-blue-beret-pattern/

And also modified it some more, by alternating k8p1 with an 8-stitch cable.  I also made this about 7" so it would fit me better.  I love how this one turned out much better than the purple one I made.
