Wow, thanks for that great pic! Mine (the one I'm still working on) really doesn't look anything like that. I think it will still be cute, though. I wonder if we could modify the pattern to get even closer, since the stitch pattern is easier to see now.

For my E-town hat, for those who were curious, I used a size 4 dpn for the rib (although I wish I'd had a size 5 instead), and a size 8 dpn for the body. I knit it to the full 10" and folded a couple of those inches inside so it would be "poofier." I pretty much followed the pattern exactly. I really think the body of the hat from the movie is wider, so maybe cast on more stitches, and the top isn't quite flat enough - the top on Kirsten's hat is really flat. I'm not quite sure how to do it yet, but I'd thought about doing more decreases (like another row) before I finished the hat off. I wonder if that would help.

Hey cnp71201 I saw on your blog that you're looking for a cloche similar to the one that naomi watts wears in King Kong. I love that style too and the closest I've found is this one...

I haven't gotten around to making it yet though. Boy am I a sucker for hats! I think it's because they're so quick to make. I hope this helps

Wow, thanks! I haven't seen that pattern before. It isn't EXACTLY what I'm looking for (since I love, love, love the little wrap-over or fold on her hat), but it's really close and fantastic in its own right! I am going to have to purchase this pattern and make this hat. I wonder how it would look in a dusty pink, a light blue, or a light grey.
