Ok so i'm embarrased to say i started this KAL a long time ago...and chickened out on my first pair!  It was toes up and it was really hard!  but since then i decided i needed assistance in the dpns because those are really what scared me.  So i took a class at my lys, and guess what i almost have my first sock done!  And because of all of you fantastic people on here i'm way ahead of the rest of my class!  It's freakin awesome!  So far i adore socks (we'll see how i feel after i have to do the same thing all over again for sock 2) i hate teeny tiny needles!  So knit on sock virgins!  and a soon as i finish my first one i'll take pix and post!

I wasn't in on the start but after reading this thread I decided to have a first attempt at DPNs. Thanks to whoever posted the link to the beginners class...I now have a sock! it's a bit baggy in places but I'm still really proud. I quite like knitting in a round, I prefer the 3 small rows to having one big one. Thank you all for getting me excited and motivated.
