hey guys,
I found this page and thought i'd pass it along to my fellow torontonians <sp?>

http://members.tripod.com/nicolaa5/articles/fabric.html

It lists various places to find fabric in the area, the type of fabric in certain stores, what the sales staff is like, etc. etc.

I'm not sure how current the info is as I haven't checked any of it out, and I mostly buy my fabric on ebay  Grin

That's a great list! I have to second the recommendation for both John Bead and the Designer Fabric Outlet. The one place that I'd add to the list, as a must-see, is Mokuba, the ribbon store on Queen West.

i like mokuba but it is wayyyy too expensive for me.  the 2 fabric stores i love most in toronto are 'affordable textiles inc.' and 'king textiles'.  i also like beena's but i don't know if they're still in business, i haven't been for a while.  and they didn't mention 'buttons & fabric' for buttons! i am in love with that store, they have amazing buttons!
