So has anyone seen fabric covered buttons with NO mylar shell covering it? I have been trying to do that, but the fabric keeps slipping and wont crimp properly on the edges. I've trying spraying the silk fabric with starch and also a clear matte finish, but nothing works. I've ruined dozens of buttons tyring this. I know it works because I've seen them around. I just can't replicate it. Any ideas?

Ebay has nothing and badge a minit doesn't have one on their site... am i barking up the wrong tree?

badge a minit does not make a 1" sized button maker, just the 1.25".  check www.buttonsonline.c om or search for "Model 100" on ebay to get one from Dr. Don's, who seem to be the major distributors for 1" button makers....

I recently bought a Badge It machine and now I'm running out of bagde parts. I've discovered that it's really hard to find refillpacks in Sweden (and apparently the rest of the world...). Does anyone know where to find them (either in Sweden or on the internet) or if you can use badge parts from some other brand?

Ohhhh....I'm awaiting my badge kit...it should arrive in the mail anyday now...but I have been looking around to where I can purchase refill badges (pins).  Here's what I came up with so far.

http://www.badgeparts.com/index.htm
http://www.badgeaminit.com/index.html

ebay...
http://search.ebay.co.uk/badge-a-minit_W0QQmaxrecordsreturnedZ300QQsaavailabletocountryZ192QQsorecordsperpageZ50QQsosortpropertyZ1

Those are just a few of the links that I have been able to find. I hope this helps, and I hope we are thinking of the same badge makers.  Good luck...your best bet might be with ebay, but you can take a look.  Post some of your buttons if you get a chance...I love seeing other peoples buttons.

ANYONE KNOW WHERE TO GET SUPPLIES IN CANADA?

I just received my badge-a-minit 1 1/4 inch hand press machine, and I love it! But now my next dilemma is getting more supplies to make lots of buttons.

I noticed there are so many U.S. suppliers that ship within the U.S. for free, but no suppliers in Canada.  Does anyone know where to get button making supplies from somewhere in Canada? (the gst fee and shipping are a killer!).

Oh and of any place that sells 1 1/4 inch magnet back buttons?

Sorry for all the questions, this is my last resort!! THANKS

This is a little late...but here is the only link I have found to purchasing button parts from Canada...I haven't tried them out yet cause I'm still waiting for my machine to arrive...but here's the link.

The best thing I have found is a 1.25 inch circle punch used for scrapbooking, the one from creative memories works the best by far, it was like $18, but I have punches at least 5,000 times and it still works perfectly, you can get other cicle punches from a scrapbooking store, but I went through 3 of them before finding the creative memories one.

Also...
I have the Dr. Don's model 100 (1" buttons maker) and I love it and I love Dr. Don's (www.buttonsonline.c om), they are all the nicest people, ship orders quickly and always willing to help and answer questions.

I had a badge-a-minit 2.5 inch hand press that i bought of ebay, I used it but really didnt like it, buttons came apart, peices didnt go together well. If you only want to do a few, it is OK, but If you want to make a business out of it, I would invest in an automated press.

I bought an "Amazing Button Maker" at a flea market one day (only paid a few bucks for it), it was crap. You can buy them at Toys r us. But I wouldnt mess with it!
