i needed [okay, wanted] a new bag for school.
so, two hours 2 yards of fabric and a zipper later, i came up with this.
its a basic tote, with three pockets inside [zipper pkt, pencil pkt, cell pkt]

the full view



side numero uno - pencil & cell phone pockets (i still havent trimmed the threads)



side numero dos - zipper pocket (thanks to sewpixies tut)



im really happy with it, especially this inside  Grin

That fabric is awesome.  I really like the length, also.  The zipper pocket looks really stupendous.  I give it an A++++++++++++!!!!!!!

I saw your tote and headed for the fabric store to get some blue/green fabric! (I found some stripey stuff!! YEH!)  I love this tote--isn't it nice to be able to make things to fit YOUR stuff!  Nice job!  This size is perfect for books, yarn, groceries, etc. You did good, kiddo!

hah, yeah the colors are great - which is why i couldnt pass the fabric up
and yes - thats why i love making my own things - so i can make them to suit my stuff  Grin

UPDATE:
my friend & I are making these and selling them to the people at school.
it was our first day and we got 13 orders. i'm really excited!

we're also going to be opening a website this summer (which will include a tut. for this)
so be ready!  Wink
