yep!
my friend is starting to sew (YeeeeeeY SEWING!)
so i boght her all the simple begginners stuff (chlk, needels, all those special knifes...)inside this pretty wooden see-throgh box and made her A SEWING JOURNAL! coverd with fabric and serged all around

I wish I had a friend like you. I have been sewing everything by hand for years and years-but I very recently was given a very nice beginner's Swinger. It sounds ridiculous-but I was floored at how quickly my dress was hemmed. Seconds. Ridiculous.

Unfortunately I can not troubleshoot with the bobbin situation I have going on, so it's back to the old fashioned way for me.

rockwaterfalls... i've been sewing for over 30 years and learned one not well understood fact... if you are having trouble with the machine... rethread... rethread the bobbin even. although i have to say that i always had bobbin trouble sewing with my moms singer.
