I decoupaged this recipe box and was pretty happy with the way it came out. I was thinking about doing one for my sister, who is moving into her first apartment, but wanted to get everyone's opinion before I got my fingers all sticky again. What do you think?

The recipe box was a $1 find at TJMaxx, but was unfortunately decorated with teddy bears and red country flowers. Luckily, the inside was salvageable! The newspaper clippings are all travel advertisements from the NY Times. The pinup girl came from a box of greeting cards - again a cheap find at TJMaxx! - and the quote... who knows where that came from. I've had it for years and was just waiting for an opportunity to use it!

Now all I have to do is make some great recipe cards...

That's great. I like the way you've cut out the newspaper adverts.
Also getting sticky is the fun part! I spent yesterday playing with modpodge and then spent a great evening picking it all off.
