Agh, the hideous jelly/mousse moulds that were so fashionable in the 70s and 80s! Oh, the horror!

That had to be one of the funniest commentaries I have ever read!  I am now frightened by what my parents could have fed me during the 70's! Shocked

I heart you with all my, well, heart... Roll Eyes This rocks, not just the cards but your commentary had me in stitches. Thank you merwing for doing all the work with scanning and site building and showing these, wow.

Those could be used for scaring children.  Cheesy "eat your beans, sweetheart, look, in the 70s you would have had to eat jellied-bean salad. so eat and be grateful."

Unfortunately, I can't take the credit, that's not my site. I just found it one day and knew I had to share...  Wink

My mom was actually in Weight Watchers at this time, and she tells a story about a recipie for macaroons made entirely out of cauliflower.  She actually tried to make them, and they were evidently completely revolting, which I think one should expect from creamed cauliflower deserts.
