Strange Folk Arts and Crafts Festival: App Deadline July 31st!

When: Saturday, September 23rd, 2006 from 11 a.m. - 6 p.m.
Where: O'Fallon Community Park; O'Fallon, IL  (just 15 minutes from downtown St. Louis)

We are inviting indie artists and craftsters to set up shop in our beautiful expansive green-space, but that's not all. We have assembled a "shock and awe" arsenal of interactive activities and events that are sure to captivate patrons throughout the day. You can open a can of whoop craft whilst competeing in the Mad Crafts at Thunderdome tournament, or send your handmade garments strutting down the runway at our Fierce Suburban Fashion Show!

Booth Options:
Option #1: Bring Your Own Tent - $35 Entry Fee
This is the obvious choice if you own, or can borrow an "art fair" type pole tent any size up to 12ftx12ft. These tents are also available from many rental companies. You may bring any displays you wish for your space, and tables of various sizes are available for rent at $5 a piece.

Option #2: Rent a Sheltered Table - $35 Entry Fee
If you are selling a small amount of items(or just small items), renting a table is a great option. The tables are approximately 2.5ftx6ft, and you will have at least a 4ft space behind it for your chair and personal belongings. Participants will be set up next to each other under tents that the festival provides.You may decorate your table and display your items on top of them any way you like, but floor displays will not be permitted.These spaces will be filled on a "first come first serve" basis, so apply early!

Online applications are being accepted through July 31st, 2006 at www.StrangeFolkFest ival.com.
These applications will be juried every wednesday. We will be looking for a variety of handmade items, artwork, even art and craft supplies or baked goods might be game. We will not allow mass produced items or antiques to be sold at the festival. Unless of course, you are decoupaging magazines or gluing AOL CD's to the antiques..that could be cool. The bottom line is, we'd like as many indie vendors as possible!
