i started with a hot needle, but i burned myself too much and it left weird goopies around the holes, so i switched to drilling. i actually just made a template and then taped that to the stack of records and taped it all together, and then drilled. and my partner helped me a lot with the drilling, it hurts the neck, let me tell you.

Hubby said he would drill it for me!!  I told him to be sure he had two holes kinda together because with my luck, he would drill any which way and my earrings would never get matched!!  I only need one record as I have only a few pairs of earrings for now...Nice to know it can be expanded!!  Thanks kiddo!! Don't burn those fingers--you are so clever and talented!!

Since boarderchic received the tripod bag I made her, I figure I can post pictures now.

I based it on various yoga bags I've seen. There's a drawstring closure, a large patch pocket, adjustable straps to go from backpack style to over the shoulder to across the chest and the inner seams are covered with bias tape.

And the straps in backpack mode:

Today I received a wonderful crochet hook roll from kategirl and she also included a hook that I didn't have.

I have all my hooks in it already and they fit great.

That yoga bag is fabulous!!! I love the fabric, is it brocade-y/shiny?

I'm so sorry it took me forever to post these pictures - it's been a crazy few weeks!

From lafemmefatale, a surprise - a lovely set of Eiffel Tower dinner napkins that match my kitchen perfectly:

She also sent a turquoise glass bead necklace, that I somehow didn't get a picture of.
Thanks again!!

And, from cotneyroo - a selection of yarn for making amigurumi animals:

Now I just need to get back to practicing crochet!
and an extra surprise - earrings inspired by ones on my wist list, in awesome colors:

Thanks again for everything!!
