So, what exactly is a skipping bag? is there a tut here somewhere? I really like the style of that bag, and something that is easy to make suits my sewing skills exactly!  Wink
I think this bag is called a skipping bag because the one we are 'copying' has a girl skipping on it - this is the link for the picture:

It's a very simple bag to make yet looks great once it's finished!

Thanks Homer! I bookmarked it! What a great, simple design. I'm sure I'll be trying it soon! Well... once I get some other stuff done first....  Roll Eyes

Cotneyroo, I'm glad you like it.  I really wanted to send potting soil or dirt... but I could only find HUGE bags at the store.   Sad

No worries at all! We looked for a small bag too but in the end wound up with a HUGE bag of organic potting soil, since the herbs will be eaten, if all goes well. (I didn't know they made such a thing! The soil, not the herbs) Ah well. Maybe this is the year I start my big roof garden. Cheesy

Homerof2, action shots are good for you!... More seriously though, in being online for almost 11 years now and posting my picture for almost all that time I've had a bare handful of people say something mean.

I'm not worried about what people will say, I just can't stand seeing myself in pictures.  But, maybe someday I will be brave!

Princessblueberry is feeling under the weather (hope you feel better sweetie!!  Being sick is NOT a good way to lose weight!! UGH!)... she asked if I could post what I sent to her:

She asked for a vintagey apron.  I made the pockets bigger than most I have seen since I wanted them to be functional!!  I also used the scraps to embellish two dishtowels so she can cook and clean in style!!

Glad you like them!

oooo--How did I miss the herb garden that boarderchic sent!!?  I am an avid gardener--I love plants and anything to do with plants!!  What a great idea for a swap and for a gift!!

Cotneyroo--hope your herbs grow well--there is nothing like fresh herbs to cook with!!  I use mint all summer for ice tea and uh, mint juleps ( Wink)...mmmm chive and sour cream for baked potatoes....mmmmm basil tomato mozarella salad... now I am hungry!!

Nice swap!

PS--simplyfussfree--hey gf, how would you know how much I was crafting unless you were doing it too?  I have seen your butt crafting away on the same boards---gotcha!! hee hee

A week and a half ago I received a package from Sonjaboo, took a picture and then forgot to download it (silly me!).

I had asked for some purple and yellow fabric for a quilt I am making for our bedroom and Sonjaboo picked that wish to fulfill and let me tell you she went far above and beyond what I expected.

Thanks to her contribution, I now have enough material to finish the quilt.

Here's what she sent:

Yay!  I can't wait to see the quilt!  I'm so glad you liked them!

And I will join you in rooting for the Oilers!  My husband has been on pins and needles the past week-- normally he is a Bruins fan, but since that is a moot point, he is cheering on the Oilers.  He is a big Sergei Samsonov fan!  (Hopefully I spelled that correctly!)

Lovely Fabric!

I'm actually excited for tonight's game. My fiance is a hard core Oilers fan, so this is really awesome to watch.
