bluelise- i realized i forgot to send a little note along- i found it in my purse toady! sorry!

but it pretty much said all the roving is 100% wool, i handspun that little skein of yarn, and it's farm wool, so if that grosses you out, then i wont be offended if you throw it out, and the little crocheted bag is made from handspun yarn that i got from an etsy store. i can get the name of it if anyone wants it.

i hope you like everything!

That would be so cute! We should have a swap where we send Basil from person to person and at the end he returns to liebschien with all sorts of doggy craft things.

Batgirl let me know last night that she had received the apron I sent her and I've been dying to post this picture - not only to show off the apron but because I convinced my 14 year old son to model it.  He would only do so if I promised not to take his head in the picture and if I promised not to show the picture to his Dad or brother and if I promised not to show it to anyone we know personally.  So, I have stuck to all those 'guidelines' but wanted to post it here.

batgirl wanted a retro apron, something that Lucy would have worn back in her day.  She gave me a number of color and pattern suggestions and the one I could find and was happiest with was lime gingham.  This pattern was tons of fun to make (for the most part) and it took over 3 yards of fabric (lots of ruffles).

So, here it is:

Don't know what to comment on first--a very courageous young man or a gorgeous old timey apron!!

Nice job homerof2!  The gingham is so "right"!

YAY! I absolutely adore my "Lucy" apron!!! It's perfect in my green kitchen too! It has so much detail, and everything I wanted! My neighbor asked me if it was vintage! Homer did an awesome job with all those ruffles, it's really gorgeous and even has pockets! It's my dream apron! Thank you SO much!! (and hugs to your son!)  Kiss Kiss
