I've been attracted to small boxes since I was a little kid.  Getting to combine them with my love of embroidery is like something magical.  Personally, I don't eat Altoids so it's either get the tins from friends or buy them and toss the candies.   Tongue

Have you tried the cinnamon ones? I can't stand the peppermint, but I love the cinnamon.

The cinnamon ones are the best!  Ooh, and if you are interested in any of the round tins, I recommend the raspberry sours too.  Pucker up!   Lips sealed

Yes, I love the cinnamon and the wintergreen (when I can find them), but I try to avoid the sugar.   Undecided  Now there's a business venture: Altoids made with Splenda!   Cheesy

Thanks, tamedvixen and loves2experiment.  I enjoyed planning the designs, doing the embroidery and assembling the box.  Printing Kiki_eks avatar kitty on printable iron-on cotton was the easy part of it all.

The pictures were done on a scanner and really don't do the box justice.  Perhaps Kiki_eks can post a better picture.

I will take more pictures today and post them asap - it really is beautiful in person.

So far I've tried all the flavors and I can't handle the ginger and I'm not a cinnamon candy flavor girl. The sours are the best and my favorite flavor is the passionfruit when I can find it followed by mango. Wink I have a lot of the round tins. Maybe I should try something with them. Has anyone done a round one yet?
off to search the boards for round tin ideas.....

tiph_thompson received from me today and asked that I post pictures. This is what I sent:

an anemone pin cushion! It's only about 1.5 inches wide and made out of 2 types of silk and stuffed with cotton. I used a bottle cap for the bottom base that I painted to match the bronze and green leafy/tendril bit.

Very pretty crazy quilt, gingerquilts.  The shell and fish embellishments are a nice touch.  Are the colors truer in the first picture or the second?
