Such great stuff, everyone!

My partner, jnaos, and I have both sent and received. I don't have any pictures with me here at work, but for the moment I will try and share what we made each other:

Jnaos made me:
- a Lafcadio keychain (forthcoming)
- a t-shirt with a drawing of Lafcadio -- if you don't know who the heck I mean, read it, you'll love it! -- and the quip, "He Just Loves Marshmallows."
- a CD recording of "Where the Sidewalk Ends"...I love this since it reminds me of childhood road trips
- and the best, a set of handmade notecards with colored pages from Shel's adult stuff (like the ABZ book)
She also sent me some funky colored yarn that I love.

I made Jnaos:
- bookplate stickers with a Shel drawing of a child and a book
- shrinky-dink magnets with the drawings from "Me-Stew" and "In the Frigidaire"
- a small knitted egg stuffie with a beak embroidered, from "I Will Not Hatch"
- a Jimmy Jet felt pillow (little boy turns into a TV set)

I received today!!!!  I wasn't expecting it so soon because it was coming from Canada but here it is already! 

Lexis is an *awesome* swap partner.  I feel so lucky. She did a GREAT job at incorporating so many of my favorite Shel Silverstein poems in to what she made me!

A bookmark with the poem Upside-down on it, A fabulous altered tin that has my all-time favorite Silverstein poem Ickle Me, Pickle Me, Tickle Me too as its theme (the inside of this tin is super cool too), a "shrinky charm thingamabob" with The Little Boy & the Old Man on it (I think I'm going to use this as a bookmark too!), and a really nice card with a Giraffe & a Half theme to it (plus I found a little Giraffe and a half shrinky dink hiding in with everything else)

i don't know what wrong with me but i started crying when i saw the felted vessel.  it's just so great.  i love it.
